Student Support Services (SSS) Committee

The SSS Committee meets each Wednesday morning before school to co-ordinate the student identification referral process and ensure appropriate support, assessment, intervention and communication between all stakeholders.
The SSS committee is comprised of:

Deputy Principal
Guidance officer
Head of Special Education (HOSE)
Support Teacher – Literacy and Numeracy (STLaN)
School Chaplain
Speech Pathologist
Teacher representatives

The SSS meeting is chaired by the STLaN who works closely with the visiting specialists (e.g. Guidance Officer, Speech Language Pathologists and Gifted Education Lead Teacher) to identify learning needs and to design appropriate programs (hyper link to another page that showcases the programs in action and the training of those involved) to support and scaffold students’ learning.

Learning Support

The Support Teachers - Literacy and Numeracy work collaboratively with teachers, teacher aides and the leadership team to steer an inclusive whole school approach to student achievement. Through gathering and use of data, curriculum support and working in classrooms, the STLaNs are able to support teachers to make the appropriate adjustments for students to ensure continuous growth in their learning.
