The Gap State School Open Day is held in May each year and in 2024, will be held on Thursday, 23 May.
Commencing at 9am with an address by the Principal, Mrs Joanne Nicholls, the Open Day begins as a seated event in the school hall, the 'MPB', where parents and caregivers will also be introduced to members of school staff, before school tours with senior students will commence. The Open Day concludes at 10:30am.
Registration to attend the Open Day is not required, however we encourage parents/caregivers who are interested in enrolment for their child at the school, to submit an expression of interest for enrolment form, which is located under the Enrolments/Enrolling at our school tab menu on this website.
Enrolment interviews for 2025 Prep children, who are automatically eligible for enrolment at The Gap State School, will begin in the week following Open Day. Enrolment information will be emailed to parents/caregivers who have submitted an expression of interest form online for their child.
2025 Prep enrolment interviews will be held from 28 May 2024 to 14 June 2024. You can read more about eligibility to enrolment in the 'Enrolments' section of this website.
School Tours
School tours are held in the second half of the Open Day morning. After the Open Day, school tours are available for families of students who are eligible for enrolment in accordance with the school's enrolment management plan, or upon offer of enrolment by the Principal, and only by appointment.
