Music enhances children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development and is an integral part of the curriculum at The Gap State School. The classroom music program builds a solid foundation in music skills and concepts to enable every child to find their 'own voice'. Students of all ages can also be involved in our choral program. Choirs practise regularly and perform on assemblies, school and community events and competitions. Students from Years 3 to 6 are offered the opportunity to participate in Instrumental lessons for string, brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. These students perform at various events, camps and competitions each year.
